We built a Marae

The whanau return to Okahukura in 1991 to commence the building of the Marae.

Now we can see what the Whare Kai under flooring looks like. Tim he's the man, good builder.

People from Whanganui came every weekend to do building, they were part of the Pilgrimage that called in on their way to the Carmelites mass in Auckland.

Whare kai flooring - How many of our generation would we get to do a build?!! I'd say they are all over 65. Bless them.

Now we can see the Marae is now which was the old garage or shed.
